An Isoline Map is a map that is made up of isolines, or continuous lines that join areas of equal properties, the most common of which being contour maps, which show the elevation of an area through the use of the isolines. This particular map is an example of an Isoline Map in which the contour lines are in fact the isolines as they connect areas of equal elevation in the dry areas near St. Oswalds Bay Dorset. This map is very interesting as it shows the contrasting valleys that formed, and thus allows much speculation on how the valleys were formed to be thrown out the window as it is only applicable to valleys that point in a similar direction.
